For our very first blog post, we want to introduce you to one of our favorite places at DITHF (and it's really hard to choose):

There's SO much to talk about in this space.
Our goal when designing the bridal suite was to give our brides a gorgeous, spa-like space to relax and feel pampered on their special days.
We wanted to add personal touches to every part of DITHF, and the bridal suite is no exception.
This bridal suite is designed in Kim's absolute favorite style. Her personal office at home is designed just like it! Every piece of furniture in this space was hand-picked from one of Kim's two favorite places to shop:
Birmingham, Alabama and Round Top, Texas
(Austin and Scott had to rent two U-Hauls just to get all of the furniture back to Brenham.)
Let's talk about some of the highlights of this space:
The reclaimed wood surrounding the chandelier isn't just pretty, but is personal to our family as well. To personalize this space even more, we chose to frame the chandelier with wood from an old barn that stood on our family's property. We think it added so much extra personality to the space!
The Juliet Balconies are another favorite aspect of this bridal suite. The decision to add these balconies ended up being one of the best that we made when we were designing this space! We love how functional these balconies are and the photo opportunities they add to the suite!
The huge walk-in shower is the highlight of the bridal suite bathroom. The original plans didn't include such a big shower, but when we found extra space, we decided to extend it. We're so glad we did!
Last (but definitely not least!) we love the bible verse hung in the bridal suite. It's one of the Andersen family's favorite verses, and it's so fitting to be surrounded by this scripture as you get ready to say "I do!"
"So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." -1 Corinthians 13:13
