Vendor Spotlight: Patti Darby Photography

Finding the perfect photographer to capture your I do's can be overwhelming. It's important to find someone who communicates well, makes you feel comfortable, and of course has beautiful work that you love!

To make the process a bit easier, we've recently updated our Preferred Vendor List that you can check out here.

We've included vendors who we've worked together with in the past and who have gotten glowing reviews from our brides and grooms so that you're sure to be in good hands!

Today, we're highlighting one of these special vendors--

Deep in the Heart Farms loves having Patti at the venue. She was one of the first photographers to come out to the venue during construction and has been nothing but helpful since!

Since we opened our doors, Patti has photographed multiple weddings at our venue and we are constantly blown away by her work.

Not only are Patti's photos great, but she is always a joy to be around and to work with!

Patti shot Sara and Kyle's wedding last month, and every detail was perfect.

You could tell that these two are loved by so many, and Patti's shots truly captured the love that made up this beautiful day!

Check out some shots from Sara & Kyle's beautiful day and learn a bit more about Patti Darby and her photography here!

We sent Patti a few questions to answer so that couples planning their wedding days can get a feel for her personality and for the work that she has to offer.

Here's what she had to say:

How did you get started in wedding photography?

I actually was a high school science teacher for 5 years and one day decided I was done teaching and wanted to do something creative. So I went full time as a wedding photographer about 16 months ago.

What is your favorite part of a wedding day?

Oh that’s so hard! I love the entire wedding day for different reasons but if I had to choose just one, definitely bride + groom portraits.

There's nothing like that newly married glow and excitement!

What is your photography style?

I love film and the way in renders colors in a muted but still true to life way. My main goal is to always make sure that my couples have great looking skin tones

What other vendors do you enjoy working with/recommend to couples?

Ooh! Don't make me pick! lol I have so many amazing friendors that I LOVE working with. The most important part to me about collaborating with other vendors is our ability to produce amazing results for our couples as a team.

I love working with any vendor who puts the couple first and helps execute their wedding celebration in an efficient and cohesive manner. It's so important that vendors can work together as a team!

If you weren't a photographer, what you do?

I was a teacher but I would LOVE to renovate old houses and do some sort of interior design.

Have your services changed at all since the start of COVID?

I am now offering an Intimate Wedding Collection. This 4 hour package gives couples who are having a smaller, more intimate celebration the opportunity to still have gorgeous photos!

Anything else that potential clients should know about you?

My number one priority in my business is to give my couples the absolute BEST experience possible. From the initial inquiry to delivering their final gallery I want them to feel loved and that their wedding celebration was turned into lifelong memories.

We're so in love with the shots that Patti captured during Sara & Kyle's special day. Check out more of the gallery down below and give Patti a follow on Instagram @pattidarby!
